Mighty oaks from little acorns grow

Here are some trees that I made for my terrain test piece (a post of this will be coming shortly). These were built up from some Heki tree bases that are covered in various Woodlands Scenics foliage/turf. I added some plasticard discs to the base to support them as well as incorporating some ground terrain that will blend them with my test terrain piece. In addition, a small magnet has been inserted under the base so that the have extra support when they are added to the board. This will give them a bit of staying power against the eventual table knock and will enable separate transport and storage.  I am very happy with the results, even though they were a bit time consuming. I learned a great deal about materials, techniques and application from building these trees up which I will use in the future.

I like adding little features that give pieces individuality and character. Enjoy
